    This Privacy Policy describes how ThaiHomeCook AB collects and uses personal data. It applies to all users of our apps, websites, features, or other services anywhere in the world. This notice specifically applies to: - Students: Individuals who request or receive culinary instruction and marketplace products. - Instructors: Individuals who provide culinary training and services through the platform. - Merchants: Entities providing ingredients, tools, or ready-made food via the marketplace. - Order Recipients: Individuals who request or receive products for delivery.

    ThaiHomeCook AB is the data controller for the personal data collected in connection with use of ThaiHomeCook’s services in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Sweden.

    3. Data Collections and Uses

    ThaiHomeCook collects data provided by users, data created during use of our services, and data from other sources.

    A. Data Provided by Users

    User Profile: We collect data when users create or update their accounts. This may include their name, email, phone number, login name and password, address, profile picture, payment or banking information (including related payment verification information), and health disclosures (e.g., allergies).

    Instructor Credentials: We collect professional background, culinary certifications, and government-issued identification for Instructors to verify their expertise and eligibility.

    User Content: We collect the data users submit when they contact ThaiHomeCook customer support, provide ratings or reviews for recipes, instructors, or merchants, or otherwise contact ThaiHomeCook. This may include recordings (if applicable) and photos submitted for support purposes.

    Identity Verification: We may collect identity verification information, such as images of government-issued IDs, to prevent fraud and ensure community safety.

    B. Data Created During Use

    Location Data (Instructors and Merchants): We collect precise or approximate location data from Instructors' and Merchants' mobile devices to enable class radius settings and delivery logistics.

    Transaction Information: We collect transaction information related to the use of our services, including the type of services requested or provided, order details, delivery information, date and time the service was provided, amount charged, and payment method.

    Usage Data: We collect data about how users interact with our services. This includes data such as access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, and type of browser.

    Device Data: We may collect data about the devices used to access our services, including the hardware models, device IP address or other unique device identifiers, operating systems and versions, software, and preferred languages.

    4. How We Use Personal Data

    • To provide our services: Creating/updating accounts, enabling logistics, matching students with instructors, and personalizing recipe recommendations.
    • Safety and Security: Verifying identities, detecting fraud, and facilitating Livsmedelsverket hygiene standard transparency.
    • Customer Support: Investigating and addressing user concerns and monitoring/improving our response quality.
    • Research and Development: Testing, research, analysis, and product development to enhance the culinary experience.
    • Marketing and Advertising: Sending communications about products, services, features, and promotions (subject to user consent).

    5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

    With Other Users

    Student to Instructor: We share a student's name, profile photo, and critical allergy information with the instructor to ensure a safe and personalized session.
    Customer to Merchant: We share shipping addresses and contact details with Merchants to fulfill ingredient and tool orders.
    Instructor/Merchant to Student: we share profile details, ratings, and feedback to help students make informed choices.

    With Third Parties

    Service Providers: We share data with vendors who provide payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting, customer support, and marketing services.
    For Legal Reasons: We may share user data if we believe it's required by applicable law, regulation, operating license, or legal process.
    With Consent: We may share a user's data other than as described in this notice if we notify the user and they consent to the sharing.

    6. Data Retention and Deletion

    ThaiHomeCook retains user data for as long as necessary for the purposes described above. This means that we retain different categories of data for different periods of time depending on the type of data, the category of user to whom the data relates, and the purposes for which we collected the data.

    Accounting: Financial data (invoices, transaction logs) is retained for 7 years in accordance with the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.
    Profile: Account profile data is retained until the user requests deletion, or after 24 months of total inactivity.

    7. Choice and Transparency

    ThaiHomeCook provides the means for you to see and control the data that ThaiHomeCook collects, including through:

    In-app/Site Settings: Manage profiles, notification preferences, and cookie consent.

    Data Access & Portability: Request an export of your data in JSON format.

    Deletion: You can request account deletion at any time via your settings.

    Objections: You have the right to object to our use of your data for marketing or legitimate interests.

    8. Legal Information

    Legal Bases

    Legal Bases: We process your data based on contract performance, legitimate interests (safety/security), consent (marketing), and legal obligations (tax).

    Data Transfers

    International Transfers: We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and comply with US-EU Data Privacy Framework for data stored outside the EEA.

    Supervisory Authority

    Supervisory Authority: You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

    9. Cookies and Third-Party Technologies

    We use cookies, web beacons, and other identification technologies on our apps, websites, and emails for purposes such as authenticating users, remembering preferences, analyzing traffic, and delivering/measuring marketing campaigns.
