Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using ThaiHomeCook, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. ThaiHomeCook offers three services: (1) a marketplace for private and group Thai cooking classes taught by verified instructors, (2) a community recipe library, and (3) a Thai ingredient shop and restaurant directory. These Terms apply to all three service areas and to all user roles on the platform: Students, Instructors, Merchants, and Administrators.
2. Use of Services
You agree to use our services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You agree not to:
- Use the service in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
- Impersonate or attempt to impersonate ThaiHomeCook, our employees, or other users
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
- Use any automated system to access the service without our permission
3. Booking and Payment
All bookings are subject to instructor availability. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking via Stripe. Prices are in Swedish Kronor (SEK) and include VAT where applicable. After a class session is completed, instructor earnings are held in escrow for up to 24 hours pending student confirmation. If the student does not confirm or raise a dispute within 24 hours, funds are automatically released to the instructor. For ingredient and shop orders, payment is captured immediately upon order confirmation.
4. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation tiers for cooking class bookings: - Full refund (100%): Cancellation more than 48 hours before the class start time - Partial refund (50%): Cancellation made 24–48 hours before the class start time - No refund: Cancellation less than 24 hours before the class, or a no-show - Instructor cancellations (any reason): Always a full refund to the student Under EU consumer law, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the booking date. This right is waived if the class takes place within that 14-day period and you explicitly consent at the time of booking.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on ThaiHomeCook, including text, graphics, logos, images, and recipes, is the property of ThaiHomeCook and protected by copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
ThaiHomeCook shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
8. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Stockholm, Sweden.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Data collection and usage are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using ThaiHomeCook, you consent to the collection of data necessary for processing bookings and facilitating marketplace transactions.
10. Platform Availability and Force Majeure
While we strive for 100% uptime, ThaiHomeCook does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the platform. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our control, including internet outages, natural disasters, or government restrictions. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.
